Not *that* sort of passion, but a passion for what you believe in – be that a product, a cause or a solution. I went to an event last week which where a number of small, independent and in some cases, charitable, organisations presented. Each had their own message, however as a collective, the theme was addressing the rise in knife crime in the UK. Although being an alarming subject to listen to, it was actually hugely inspirational; all these people, quite often personally affected by this crime, were the most believable and passionate speakers I’ve heard in a long while. No-one blinded me with science. The stage setting was basic and those who used powerpoint kept it simple. The overall message is not lost on me from the event – and here lies the lesson to take into your role, whatever that may be. Be passionate about what you do.
